Well I had two other hatcheries in mind but both of those had such a late ship date I went with Mt. Healthy. I hope they are a good hatchery. I ordered 50 cornish x straight run. They will be in April 5 or 6th, I have never done such a large batch and the only other time I did meaties was a few years ago. A local farmer sold me 25 of his that were already 4 weeks old. Woo hoo here's too chicken farming again!

I ordered from them about 6 weeks ago. I ordered 16 EE's-15 pullets and 1 roo. They sent 18. They have all done well. Even though it was cold when they came, they were all nice and warm. They sent them overnight, so I received them quickly. They all just about hopped out of the box. I will order from them again.

I have seen 2 things on the net that rates hatcheries. I saw a rating thing on this board
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AmXAmgx4qOPEdFgtdGk1YVFDXzFSMWRSaTFYUWQweXc&hl=en that rated them highly. I also saw them rated highly on Dave's Garden http://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/c/6878/ I really like the rating system on both boards. You can also look at the comment section on both.

My first order from Mt. Healthy was over two years ago. They all lived and are healthy. Ordered again in June of 08 then again Feb of this year. Great luck. Also ordered turkeys. Only lost two chicks out of 50. Very pleased with chicks and Mt. Healthy service.

My daughters wrangled me into an impulse buy of a few TSC chicks that originated from Mt. Healthy last year and we didn't have any issue at all even with the chicks going through a feed store before getting to us and being handled by heaven knows who.

I received my order from Mt Healthy about a week ago. 50 Cornish Rock X Straight Run and 25 Bonus Barred Rock Cockerals. All were very healthy and active when received. They sent 1 extra of each. They are all still doing great and look good enough to eat. No complaints, I will definitely order here again.
