Ordering ducklings from two different hatcheries

Ordering 15 ducklings from two different hatcheries, what should i do?

  • Don't do it, just go with 10 ducklings from one hatchery

Magpies are really hard to get, only Ideal Poultry and Strombergs have them. And Strombergs doesn't deliver to WV.
Ideal Poultry is where we got our ducklings and gosling from. They’re good but I would say they are on the smaller side of the spectrum. Our chickens from them definitely are small. :idunno

My opinion:
I almost did the same thing, because the ducklings I wanted were in 2 different hatcheries. I ended up settling for the one that had the most of what I wanted. (I didn't want to pay the extreme shipping cost for small order)
I would get the 5 smaller ones and then get the other 10 later.
The only thing that concerns me is the time of year you're getting them. The 10 will probably be able to stay warm enough, but you might lose some of the 5 with it being so cold out.
What are the hatcheries you're getting them from?

That's awesome you can walk around again and are healing up good!
