Oregon Fall Chicken Swap!! SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10!!

Hi, just getting up to date on this and Albany is definately better for me, I would love more Ameracuna/EE hens (someone listed a blue wheaton???) yes yes yes... not sure that I have anything much to trade... have a really ugly (so ugly he's adoreable) frizzle NN rooster, maybe 6 months or so... he's mostly black with pants and has auburn wings and a auburn shock of hair sticking out from the back of his comb.... I call him Ikky Stardust... (but he kinda reminds us of Lil Richard too). I like him but like my other roos better so would trade him if someone really wanted him. If not I can make more coffeecakes to trade for EE's of Ameracunas... (or $$) otherwise just a few half grown peanuts that are destined for the stewpot or fryer eventually and one young Partridge Rock roo who's kinda cute. And of course cat art, if anyone is interseted I can bring some (you can take a peek at my site at www.fantasycatart.com and let me know if anything is of interest, by next spring I should have some Chicken are done for the swap, have a lot of ideas but haven't had time to get them done (working on another cat painting commission)

I would prefer Albany but can go to Salem. I will bring what people ask me to bring in advance. This is what I have:
-2 Black sex-link hens 14 months old excellent layers
-4 Young Cream Brabanters( I should be able to tell sex by then; they are about 20 weeks old)
-1 Cream Brabanter Cockerel
-3 Cream Brabanter chicks if they all hatch out from my broody
-1 Cream Brabanter hen about 1.5 years old
These are the last of my Cream Brabanters. pm or e-mail if you are interested.

Hey Tsagirl! My daughter and I bought your oprah, now miss frizza. Oh do we spoil her. She had the most beautiful babies with our Kinf Fluff-fluff! We'll bring pics to tghe swap.

Took inventory:
have a barred rock(great layer)

4 month old araucana/americana mixes-
black/gold cockeral
black pullet
white pullet

still debating about one of our 5 month old black frizzle bantam cochins with goldish main.

still looking for a golden laced polish for my hubby

and i'm an albany-ite

Ya know I do have a silver laced(show quality) rooster chick. He is still quite young but already on the girls...if ya know what I mean.

Anyway I am glad you like the frizzles!

I hope to see you there....so are we doing Salem? Albany?

Anywhere closer to Eugene is the best deal for me.

Thanks loads!

ok, so I just checked mapquest and there is a park pretty close to I-5 in Albany called Timber-Linn Park, take exit 233 head east just a bit to Price Rd SE turn left and go to the park, it looks like this was the first left turn after exiting the hwy, but can't be 100% sure of that, but it is very close. Anyone familiar with this park?? Also checked Corvallis and there were no parks near I-5, I can check Eugene and see what is there, will let you know if I find something good.

If we go for Albany then Timber-Linn is the park to go for. Good signage. Take the exit for the Linn County Fairgrounds/Expo Center and then look for the park signs.

so... in the Eugene area is Armitage Park (just north of town) on Coburg Rd you can get there from exit 195B (BeltlineRd west) go west one exit to Coburg rd, trun right on Coburg and drive north a couple miles to the park, or if you are coming from the north get off at Coburg exit 199, go west to Coburg Rd (also called S Willamette st in Coburg) turn left (south) and drive a couple miles to the park, not sure of the exact distance from either side but Coburg is only about 5 miles north of Eugene and the park is about half-way between. Either one is fine with me, obviously Eugene is closer for me, and I know Armitage is a nice park (haven't been there for a while but as I recall it's pretty big and nice) the other one by Albany looks to be fine also and is probably a bit closer to the exit, but I don't know anything about the park at all, will google both and see what I can find out.

Timber-Linn Park in Albany, it's easy to get to from either north or south, just off the freeway either way.
Still wondering if anyone has any BLRW juveniles (either the 3-4 mth or 3-5 week age range) I'm trying to avoid starting more chicks

Hoping to make it! Will depend on the final location though.
