Oregon Fall Poultry Swap! 9/25/10 11am **all details on first post!*

We can rent the Floral Building at the Douglas County Fair Grounds, which is literally just off the I-5 for $300.00 for the whole day (8am to whenever we're done) and a $100.00 refundable deposit. Now, if everyone wants to hold it here, we obviously can't expect Zoomummzy to cover costs if she's not even going to be able to come. So, we can talk, I am willing to pitch in, and maybe if others would like to pitch in but don't have funds, some trades could be worked out? Just an idea. It may not be that bad though depending on how many interested people there are, to split costs. I'm not sure how organize recieving funds. I have a paypal account, and could make the payment to the Fair Grounds if people are comfortable with that idea. Cloverleaf knows where I live and would track me down, so you'll get no funny business from me

Those are just some of the ideas off the top of my head, there may be a better way, or a different location, so everyone start talking...................

I think that depends on you. You can post that you are willing to bring "such and such" only if you have intrest before the event, or you can bring more and hope for some impulse buys or just have more in case you find a deal you weren't expecting. There will be some outside advertising for the event, so there may be people that aren't on the forum attending. So it might be good to bring some extra.

Thank you so much everyone for stepping up! I am completely overwhelmed right now with things so I just had to start handing stuff off. I really appreciate the help

My have/want list will be easy:

Have roosters (most of the same ones from the April swap)

Want homes for them NOW!

I am being a good girl and not getting anymore chickens for at least 2-3 years. My flock is at its max; I have acquired all my "wants" (BL Polish, Salmon Faverolle and recently Buckeyes) and so now I just want to enjoy what I have....minus a few roosters please

Thanks again everyone.

Count me in for a Southern location--I'm in Douglas County. Would also chip in for the Douglas County Fairgrounds or elsewhere south of Salem. I always seem to discover the meets just after they happen, so this is really helpful to mark it so far ahead on my calendar. I do hope I can pass on my extra Black Copper Marans roosters before September, though! They are 16 weeks, and not happy at all being cooped up with other young roos also available--3 EEs, 1 Hamburg, 1 white crested black Polish.

Ok, so I know it's early, but I'm starting the have/want list now before it starts getting out of control!!!

4 OEGB cockerels – Barred, hatch date January 5

1 Golden Campine cockerel - 2 months old (now)
