Ok, I can't tell if you are asking me or ZooMummzy but if you are asking me (and sorry if you aren't), no I rarely head that way but we could meet somewhere in the middle maybe?

OK, What does everythink? Boy (tom) or Girl (hen)? Trying to come up with a name. And I don't want it to have anything to do with 'dinner'! Just thought I would throw that out there and see if anyone had any ideas. I'm going to go to bed, I've had a long day.
Thanks, I really need name ideas. I would like something a little more creative then Tom.

I was told at the feed store it was a Tom, but I don't know and I wouldn't trust them completely lol. He/she is doing great this morning. I keep taking him around to my family going "see, how can you ever eat turkey again??"

On another note, there is a lady named Margaret who is going to post a comment on the poultry website in regards to wanting some 1-2 month old layers right now. I told her that would be the best spot to locate some in our area for now. She is also going to come to the swap and get some more. If you have or will have some 1-2 month olds for her and live in this area, please make sure you check the website over the weekend. Thanks!

On a good note, if he is a tom, they do tend to be a prettier bird then the females.

Which seems to be somewhat unfair, in my opinion.

You did say that he was a white, correct? The standard or the midget? It doesn't really matter, just trying to get an idea of the size the little guy is going to get. I'm leaning towards the name Benjamin, being that Benjamin Franklin didn't want the bald eagle as the national symbol but the turkey. The wild turkey was an actual native of the US. What do you think of the name Benjamin or Ben? Atleast Ben is still not Tom.

If anyone has any birds they'd like to part with before fall, we are having a swap in Redmond June 18th. There is also a gal on there looking to carpool from SW Washington - maybe she could drive to your place and then carpool the rest of the way if you're up in the Portland area or something?

I like it

He seems to like it too. He is sunning right now under the light lol. He is very curious about everything and his other leg is getting stronger. He stands on it for long periods of times and hops around on it, just like my one legged chickens. Oh and yes, he's a white.
