Oregon Fall Poultry Swap - October 22 - Corvallis @ the Fairgrounds!!!

I'm ashamed to admit this but I don't have a hydrometer in there.

I had one but it was super unreliable and next thing I knew it was lockdown and no hydrometer. Don't throw tomatoes! Should I take out one of the red plugs?

I can not find the site with the description of the figs. All I've got is a couple of notes I made when I ordered them. It's not much to go on, but all should be excellent figs because I did a lot of research before I ordered.

Figs are

UCR 291, deep green with dark red pulp, 3 available
UCR 276-1 green, sweet, light red pulp, 3 available
Kalamata, large white fig with a honey flavor, slow grower, 2 available

I'll just bring all of them and everyone can pick the one they want when they see how they look.

I will have more varieties available next year. If I have time to air layer some more before the Swap, I will let everyone know. I'm not counting on it.

Hello BYC community members and Oregon Chicken Swap enthusiasts. I am brand new to the forum so I'm still learning how things work on here. I will definitely be coming to the Fall Poultry Swap and will be looking to buy almost any breed of bantam (though I'm particularly fond of D'anvers). I tried to increase my flock this year by purchasing 10 bantams and wouldn't you know it I ended up with one hen and nine roosters. So while I will be bringing any roosters that I still have to the swap in October I am really hoping to find homes for them prior to that time as I only have so much room in the coop.

If you know anyone who wants a bantam rooster (I know, who does?) please send him/her my way. I've got photos I can send if interested. The breeds I have are Dutch, D'anver, Hamburg (not bantam), and Frizzled Cochin.

Thanks everyone!

p.s. did I mention I would deliver the birds if you aren't more than three hours away?

Welcome to the forum! I look forward to meeting you at the swap. We're practically neighbors....I live outside of Lincoln City.....I lived in Newport for 4 years. I do most of my shopping there.

Wow, that's a lot of little roosters!

Good luck finding them homes...at least they are cute little breeds that many people keep as pets. I have a frizzled Cochin cockerel I need to rehome as well.

Poor roos....nobody wants them.

luckycluckfarms & DancingHen: What colors are the Cochin frizzle roos? If they're unique or different from what I have I might be able to adopt one/them. Also: ages?
(Fingers crossed my hubby doesn't see this!!!)
