Oregon Fall Poultry Swap - October 27, 2012 in Corvallis!!!

I make hen aprons. Essentially the same thing.

Are you looking to help with bald backs? Or for support during breeding?

I'm looking to prevent any more feather loss. My rooster's favorite hen has just started losing feathers and I don't want her to lose anymore. She's a pretty big EE with a wide back and my rooster is big.

I can make one for her. My aprons are a pretty simple design, but they stay on well and do their job.

Even though I can't make it to the swap, I thought I'd let folks know that I have two adorable bantams that I'm selling. I've posted it on Craigs list, but possibly some of you are interested. They are brother & sister, descendants of ZooMummzy's lovely bantams (Delphine momma and Louis - who was Siobhan when I bought him) Mom is a Black/Birch Silkie-Cochin roo over a Bantam Dark Brahma hen; Pop is a Silkie-Cochin roo over Silkie hen. Their feathering is almost quail-like, with amazing striation variation. Feathered legs, and maybe muffs? Cockerel $5, Pullet $8 – or $11 for the pair. I’d really like to sell them together, as they are really attached to one another and get a bit frantic when they are parted. Send me a message if you're interested, so that I don't forget to check back on this topic.

I have a great young gal who just did her first year in dog 4H. She is totally enamored with chickens, has "chicken sat" and we think we finally have Dad on her

side now also (Mom and I of course are totally ok with it) getting chickens. She plans on coming to the swap. I told her if she helps me with kids on my DD birthday I will buy her a chicken of her choosing. We may have another chicken addict in the making,

She seemed to really enjoy the silkies of course and loved packing around a D'anver tonight. But of course, has not yet seen the smorgasbord of adorable/beautiful chickens you all can provide, lol. Can't wait to get her started.
