An informal gathering/potluck at which we swap a few chickens (and other stuff, and maybe money
) is a different legal entity from a livestock sales event... I think. I confess that I am a total newbie, and not familiar with it, except that I keep hearing from people (mostly accompanied by swearing) about all the hoops a small businessperson has to jump through in order to be legal.... so... that's what I wonder about.
