Oregon Spring Poultry Swap April 23, 2011 in Canby!!!

Hi everyone, DOes anyone remember the fellow named "Michael", Does he have another name on BYC? He was selling dayold chicks/ducklings of varieties and some pullets. He was close to the beginning of the line up of chikn swappers. I need to chat with him and hoped someone would know who he was.

Thank you...I'm trying to get those girls to get busy. They're just at POL. Daze and K7 have trios to add to their breeding stock and between the three of us we'll have plenty of these cuties to go around next time!

Hi everyone. It took me a few days to recover from the long hours of the swap. Next time I would not bring so many animals and would bring more help. te he I had fun meeting everyone and seeing all of your great birds. It was a crazy whirlwind of a day, but I am glad I went! Like most, I wish I had more time to mingle and talk. I had a very spunky pullet get loose at the swap too! Luckily I brought a net and our neighbor's dove for her and slowed her enough for me to nab her with the net. Thanks to all who helped chase her!

Zoo-your cheesecake was great! The cake part was a little less sweet than I like, but I drizzled some of Zanna's honey on top and all was good! The berries were yummy! Are you enjoying your seramas?

Zanna-we love your honey! I sure hope you come to the next swap as we will hate to run out!

K7 & Tallyho-I am so enjoying my new milles! They are my new favorites. There was an egg in their carrier from the way home and one in the coop that night. They both went into the bator. Love those sweet birds!

Clover-the older pullet is settling in the grow out pen and the young one in the brooder. I can't wait to see how they grow up!

CathyM-we are loving the jams! I am devouring the rasp and my hubby loves the boys/cinn! We want more at the next swap! Can we pre-order?

Ayeup-love all the fun selection of veggies. Can't wait to plant them and reap the harvest! Thanks for the cupcakes too, they were delish!

Lensters-loving the nice rabbit water bottles! I should have gotten more....

Leasurechix, duckydowns and newtochick-thanks for the chickies! Can't wait to add them to my menagerie!

Silkiechicken-a big thank you for taking my buttercup roo!

I am glad you are all enjoying the chook chow and birds from us! It takes many hands to make a great get-together!
Thanks to all who made this happen. Next time the bathrooms should be closer! I had to wait to go until the end of the swap too. Also any closer to NW Washington would be wonderful!

I feel very fortunate to have one of these sought after girls

She is doing great, settling in and finding her pecking order. The others have accepted her so all is calm in the Castle.

Loving them thank you! I was glad to have so many girls so I could pair up some of my lonely roos

Thank you again. And thank you for the cheesecake info. As I said, most of the cakes I had never made before so feedback is good. I know to add a little bit more sweetener to this one.

I would probably attend a swap in Washington, if there was interest in our hatching eggs again. I think the eggs were our best selling item! Of course, we did make deals as much as we could to find the little chickies to be good homes.

We have plenty more where those came from!

Who did I get the Silkie hen from... I just cannot remember names... You had a red car and were one of the last to leave... besides myself and I traded you a very nice marans pullet...

Maybe she will make some more for the fall swap? (hint hint lol)

I posted this in the fall swap thread but wanted to put it here too....for anyone kicking themselves for not buying a Serama pair on Saturday

I have 2 available and I'm working on a 3rd. These will be the last ones I have for quite awhile since I'm not going to be hatching for a bit. The pairs I have are: Napoleon and Josephine; Rhett and Scarlett; Duncan and ? (

Cloverleaf can help me out here). They are $10 for a pair and I think everyone who did get some can tell you how wonderful they are

I would be happy to deliver or meet halfway if you'd like. Just let me know! I really would like to get these guys into homes of their own before summer.
