Yum, just finished the last of the sweet potatoes.

Have 4 1/2 fuzzy bottom blue marans that hatched Thanksgiving day.

(THe 1/2 is the puny one in the incubator set at 94 degrees. Only counting 1/2 my chick, lol. Still flips over some, any good ideas? It's such a cute blue with feathered legs) But back to Happy after turkey weekend

Now I just have to wait until AFTER Christmas before I hatch again. (I might of said "Spring" to DH but that's kind of like January, right

)

The goose turned out delicious and beautiful to look at.

But the fat! Oh my goodness. I hope it can be used to make fries like duck fries, because I've got a lot of rendered goose fat in the freezer this morning. Fortunately, I've got a roasting rack that holds the roast high up off the bottom of the pan, but I had no idea how much fat there would be. I've got to cut back on how much I am feeding the birds.

I've got all the wing feathers from 6 geese and would appreciate any advice on the best way to clean them up and how to ship them without damaging them.
