Oregon Summer Poultry Swap, Redmond, June 18th

I'm looking for some kind of lightweight yet secure mobile coop, either as a summer-only 'tractor' for my girls, or as a second permanent (though movable) coop for my wee bantam flock. Does anyone know local builders of such? I'm hoping to see a coop builder or two at the swap.

I was just looking at the "wanting" and "bringing" lists and want to clarify that I'm not looking for candles and homemade stuff, I was just encouraging another poster to bring whatever she has! At this point, I'm only actively looking for a nice Silver-Laced Wyandotte pullet. (As if I won't bring home tons of other stuff! *snorts*)

I'm looking forward to it!

Alright!

I just got two more flats of local strawberries! I'll be making up pints ($6) as well as the half pints, and also more of the smaller 4oz "gift" size... Any of you who ordered strawberry in 1/2 pints prefer a pint rather than two half? It'll give me a better idea how many to make of each. And if I have any energy left, I may make a batch of my cinnamon boysenberry - it was really popular at the spring swap.

I'd better get busy! This swap is coming up really fast!!

WallTenters, you asked about table geese at one point.

I was just offered two very nice Buff American ganders, this year's hatch. They are in Terrebonne. I can't use them. Do you want me to put you in touch with the woman who has them?

I don't know how she feels about having them eaten because she contacted me when I was looking for breeding geese. She was "make an offer" on the price.

I'm sorry I've got no place for them. They look very nice in their photos.

Strawberry-Lemon marmalade!

I was making the extra strawberry jam, and came across this recipe, and of course had to try it. It takes a bit like strawberry lemonade!

I have 6 half pints and 6 4-oz'ers that I'll be bringing to the swap.
