I am working on making a stencil to paint on a chair or maybe just a t-shirt... I think I'll get like a large and an xlarge or even xxlarge.. will see what I can find... if I go with the tshirt, so that way if anything it's a bit too big - better too big and comfy than too small and uncomfy! Anyway, I was thinking it would be a nice little prize for our "best presentation" award. I know a lot of folks put on a good show and I think they need some recognition!
I figured everyone could put one vote (on a notepad) in with their raffle #, and when we draw up the raffle prizes we'll also tally the votes and give out the prize for the competition?
I think I've got the rooster part down (made it out of the old SOP for a Dominique rooster - beautiful profile) and I've got some lettering I was going to play with... either that or I'll just make some custom letters.
I was thinking of ...
"I won this at the cock swap!"
.. rooster picture here ..
"2011 Oregon Summer Poultry Swap"
I could leave out the cock swap part. Sorry, the first swap I went to was with my brother in law, and he refused to call it anything but a cock swap. Now my mind is eternally polluted, and it gives me a bit of a chuckle every time I talk about these swaps... He told me to put on the shirts on the front "I swapped a cock..." then on the back "at the '11 Oregon Summer Poultry Swap"... but I thought that was just a bit too racy.
I would love to make shirts and all that with the same stencils, but I doubt I will, it takes too much out of me and I'm just not that good at it to do more than one or two things!
Picked up paper plates, some plastic ware, the raffle tickets, and a few other little things for the swap. I think I will make (just with markers) on plain paper some numbers for the booths for everyone to pin up, so that everyone can vote, and so that if we kind of sign in we know where people are at!!! Hey, organization, what a great idea!!
