Here is a photo of what we got so far 18 Pip 16 Zipped and 15 Hatched for the Marans here is a Photo of the babies with the 15 D Brahma Chicks

So far? Is the hatch not finished? What about the Wellies??? Your dark brahmas look huge, are they a week older or same hatch dates as the BCM?

Four of my eight Craigslist chicks are roos! These 4 our of six "sexed" chicks. Amazingly the two Marans that were sold "straight run" are both hens! One of the Buff Orpington Roos is a really sweet boy so I will trey to find him a home the other three are going to freezer camp.

I have 6 Autrolorps 8 months old that i will be letting go only because the eggs are so close to the color of my Dark Brahams i do not want to mix up my bator and have some great Marans to keep for eating eggs , Wish i could have a pen for d brahmas and one for marans **** living in the city

I wish I were closer! I'm very interested in getting started with quail ... need to get housing sorted for them and find a decent source for the babies.

, just be aware that ameraucana from a farm store/hatchery are actually EE's. Nothing wrong with them, I have one, just may not get the blue egg

ah good to know!   I don't really have a preference for egg colors.  The only problem I see is i keep wanting to add different birds because they're all so different and lovely.  my husband would flip if I got anymore than my modest three chicks.
