Oregon

Hey Oregonians! Does anyone in southern Oregon, specifically Medford have any personal recommendations on where to get chicks locally? I'll be there in 11 days :), and would love references. I'm looking for 4 or 5 day olds. Thank you all!

Thank you. Those would definitely be an option. I just didn't know if there were any local people who sold chicks that I could pick up. It'll be my first chickens, I just want to see/learn as much as possible. :)

I have Marans and Dark Brahmas
Id Recommend Zanna for Hatching eggs her hatch rate is awesome on the Marans /

I think im gonna have to buy some of her welsummers from her Healthy happy babies in the marans eggs and i wonder what she has in her feed bin because some of the chicks should never have fit in that Egg.

I also got more then i expected but i am in Florence Oregon there is a lady in medford with marans now on Craigs list too

My D brahmas are show Stock from a breeder in cali and my Marans are beautiful Zanna is on here so Contact her as well .

I'm in medford and just got mine last week from the Grange all are doing well so far. A young lady I know with disabilities works at the Central Point Grange caring for chicks in the mornings so I like to give them my business
But Craigslist is a good idea too. I've been looking for silkies just found someone through facebook.

I'm in cave junction and the hubby as sweet as he is bought layer crumbles for my babies! So I have a 40 lb bag of food I can't use and don't want it to go bad. Does anyone in the area want it? 18% organic feed.

Does anyone near the greater Portland area have a small shed or kid's outdoor playhouse they need to sell that I could make into a miniature goat house? I've got two mini Nubians coming the week after Mother's Day and no where to lock them up at night! I'd like something that's portable for now, but will have a permanent structure built once some things are more settled around here. I figure I could perhaps modify a Little Tykes play house with hardware cloth to make it predator proof over the summer and then this winter cover up the windows with plywood or something. Any help is really appreciated. I'm search CL every day.
