June 7th Pistils Nursery will have a back yard chicken meeting where people can purchase pullets and one year old hens to set up your own backyard hens and coop info. I purchased 2 pullets from Dennis 2 weeks ago. One is a black cochin banty (3 months) and the other a golden laced wyandotte (6 weeks). They seem very healthy. I've been keeping them separate from our other two hens. The cochin is mothering the baby. Here you can see her literally taking the baby under her wing. They are so sweet together!
I would maybe try Whole Foods Market or Trader Joes.. I'm not to sure if they would carry it. Worth a shot though.

You can get food grade DE at the Eagle Creek Feed store on 224.
Well I got my Ameraucana from Dennis today a picture of her is on my page she is a cutie and my two older Barred Rocks squawked at her for a few minutes but no pecking or fighting so far the actualy went into the coop and sat down near her so intagrating her went 100% better than I expected!
