Hey Oregon friends!
I've got a dilema and I'm wondering if anyone in the Roseburg area could possibly take a beautiful 17 wk GLW pullet off my hands?
She does not get along with the other very docile birds in my flock. Okay, she's a little aggressive. She picks the feathers on my Light Brahmas feet and will not stop. She is also very bossy with the others. I am in the city and I just can't seperate her from the others and I also can't have a rooster which I've heard might help.
I'm not a chicken eater so that isn't really an option. Truth be told, I would love for her to be adopted by a lovely farmer who will let her live out her years laying eggs and free ranging till she dies of old age. My 8 year old, who has raised the chicken from its first day, shares this fantasy as well.
We know this will not be an easy undertaking. Is there anybody at all out there who might be interested in this kind of proposition? Any suggestions?
She is a very beautiful bird. Appeciate any and all advice.
