Last weeks pics of our babies... Need to get some new ones soon. Just wanted to show off our flock, friends who don't have chickens just don't understand our excitement.


Left to right... Sicilian Buttercup, Blue Silkie, Red Frizzle Cochin Bantam, Buff Silkie, Cuckoo Maran and (non-frizzled) Red Frizzle Cochin Bantam. We realized this week that our non-frizzle is definately a Roo. Silkies are 2 weeks in pic and everyone else is 3 weeks


Our Blue Wyandotte and Silver Laced Cochin (6 weeks in this pic) We have a Buff Orpington in this group too but she was off trying to be one of the bigger girls.

So I have chickens out in beaver creek but I also want to build a run at my house does anyone know how many hens your allowed in the city of Milwaukie

Talk to wbruder about that...I believe she's in Milwaukie...I think that Milwaukie is pretty lenient on poultry...

I'm technically right outside of the Milwaukie city limits, but I think you can have up to 50 chickens, roosters included!

Location newberg, they got black jersey giants, black australorps,cuckoo marans,speckeld sussex,gold and silver laced wyandottes, rhode island red, barred rock, california whites, and cornish cross thats what i can remember

I have a friend who had a rather unsuccessful hatch this week (one chick hatched out, yesterday). She had her heart set on some RIRs, and we live an hour from Newberg. She might be able to slip a few under her hen to keep the lone peep company!!!
Such a great piece of news!
We had no idea we could get chicks locally at this time of year!
