Oriental Gamefowl Thread!

I raise my orientals in central IN. For winter care the big thing is no wind or moisture. Also make sure that they sit on their feet at night so you don't have to worry about frostbite. A flat 2x4 works well, with the wide side facing up.

Couldn't I just let them bed in the straw and not offer a perch?
 
Greetings. This is going to be a long shot but does anyone remember a man that bred black orientals in east-central Wisconsin during the 80s?
 
This one sat on her eggs during sub 10°F temps and hatched them off in 18°F weather. She managed 7 out of 10.
