Yes and wetter because they drink a lot of water. They need water to eat and water to keep their eyes and nares clean another reason ducklings and chicks can have a hard time being brooded together

Update:
Gave him/her a warm shallow bath in the kitchen sink and he/she loved it. I used my hand to splash a little and he/she kept trying to grab it. After the small bath, I used the hair dryer to carefully dry him/her.

I managed to convince my parents to let us keep the duckling and have already told the lady, who wanted him, that we're keeping him.
By watching a few videos, I was able to carefully vent sex him. It is indeed a he. Now I just need to come up with a name.

That’s great and a big responsibility . He’ll need a couple lady friends eventually or he’ll turn his affections on your hens and you don’t want that. Drakes and hens are not compatible for mating. Is corid safe for ducklings?
One of our D'Uccle chicks died and I'm putting corid in the water in case the others may have caught it. Since the duckling is currently part of their group, I wanted to know if I had to separate it for a few days while I treat the chicks.
