Thought I would share some of my many juvies growing up for the breeding pens. Also , does anyone have any knowelege of any good books on Orpingtons beside The Orpington Fowl by Will Burdette and Joseph Batty. I have tryed to find some but haven't heard or found any others. If you know of please post them.

Okay here is my Favorite Black pullet and she has siblings younger coming up that will be similar.

These are four month olds. This is a blue cockerel that i really love. I think he is going to be a very large boy.

Wow, they are so pretty. 18 cockrels! Oh my, that is a lot of decisions.

Terri if you lived closer I would give you a cockerel. I am enjoying watching them grow out. Hope they all look like their daddy. I will take more pics each month and let you see their progress. I have more pullets but my camera was acting up and by the time I got it going they were at the point of going in to roost. I am using 50lb of feed daily right now. I am letting them freerange too since it is so hot and they can get under a large house we use for storage and work.
Wanted to say they love the Cornfeild

I think they would be good eating fair at 8 to 9 weeks old.
