Orpington or not? Room or Hen?

hi everyone, I’m brand new to owning chickens and to this forum. I’ve never raised chickens before and 4 weeks ago we picked up two birds from a local store. This one is supposed to be a sexed hen Buff Orpington, but I’m concerned it could be a rooster. Aside from that, I’m not convinced it’s a BO, the bird has some black feathers in its neck and tail area and I don’t see any pictures of BOs with that coloring. Is this a Buff Hen? Thanks in advance!

Definitely not orpington their legs are white and feathers golden/yellow not red

Thanks, what would you say is the confidence level it’s a cockerel? I’m not allowed to keep roosters in my city....

At 4 weeks old thats a cockerel, and like others have said not an Orpington

It happens to me every time I raise chicks! I always fall in love with a rooster. I try so hard to love them all equally but as soon as I start to favor one you can almost guarantee it's a rooster, lol.

cockarels and roos are just as lovable as hens, in my opinion roos are more affectionate then pullets at that age.
