Orpington Roo or Pullet? New pics added!!!

Thanks everyone. I just got another pullet and a blue roo from jmhappycowboy, thanks James. And thanks to Sabrina for picking them up for me. You guys are great. So now I have a trio. Will get pics of the other two up soon.

I would go with dark blue. I had a pullet once that was really dark blue, but beatle green sheen on the tops of her wings. She still has me confused.

I posted pics of the two new ones from James. The roo is light blue and the pullet is the same color as mine, which james said was black?? Mine may be just a bit lighter but hardly noticable. So maybe she is black??? I don't know. Either way, I love them. They are so cute and fluffy.

Thanks to all. Go see the pics of the new ones.

I have several three-month olds like that. They're what I was hoping to get, dark blue. It's my understanding that if you cross a dark blue with a dark blue all of the chicks will be dark blue. I'm anxious to test that information with eggs from mine when they start laying.
Also, supposedly if a "black" has a blue rump or a few loose blue feathers, they will be a dark blue after their first molt.
Don't anyone quote me and carve in a stone anything that I just said.

Dark blue with lacing, hands down. I had several like that and after they went thru their first molt, they lightened up a bit and kept the lacings.

Cute!
