Those lavender orps are pretty. I have 2 Buff orps that are now about 7 weeks old. I love how friendly and calm they are when I hold them.

What on earth!! I'm from the uk and deal mainly in brahmas and know some of the biggest and best orp breeders in uk! What sort of people make silly money on chickens by name dropping? Priscilla middletons lines???? Ha ha ha and what sort of people buy these birds for a name that's been dropped into selling something?? The Middleton family do not own orp chickens I have been informed of this first hand by a very reliable source who is present at their property every 6 wks to shoe their horses! I can't believe that people use this nonsense to buy and sell these birds to raise the price? Is it me or are people mad? Do you think it will work if I rename my brahmas buckingham brahmas! Come on guys just because people say these things ask for the proof because your being ripped off x

Seems there is an epidemic of it going on..they figure no one will ever know..they are after the quick Buck..And quite mad..

Yes I know and all this selling of uk imported orps! Those orps you guys have are nothing like the uk LF orps there no where near the size we have over in the uk! Everyone's out for a quick buck and ripping people off bigtime just wish people would wake up to this rip off it makes me so angry :-/

Orps are known for their gentle disposition. Maybe the ones you had were crossed down from another breed.... It happens... but REAL orps are not mean!... I should know... I have over 70 and have been raising them for 4 yrs.

So where do you suggest they came from, How much does one of the Orps. you are talking about over there weigh ? My oldest roo. weighs right at 14-15 lbs. so he is not by no means a small bird.

k came direct from Joy Atkins one of the importers of the B/B/S Orps. we have over here, & I enjoy my birds, So maybe this is your opinion & not facts, Not everyone is out for a quick buck either, Maybe you need to back up & regroup your thoughts insteed of telling everyone over here we dont have what we say we do.

I thought they were talking about those hatchery birds that people were pawning as imports....A lot of the english imports here are very big and good to type..in fact excellent

Mine run away from the 2 bantam Hens that my mother could no longer take care of so came to live with us..I actually have to watch it because other breeds like Australorp will bully the orpingtons so I keep them completely separate. Mine Are Completely benevolent and gentle.

Can you feather sex orpington chicks? I have two that just hatched that I think are splash, or blue - they came from a mixed flock so I wasn't sure what I was going to get!
