I sent home a note with her asking parents to provide dietary needs so I can be prepared, list of meds, all phone numbers, emergency contact person nearby and doctor's numbers.

I told DH if the parents were going to be just around the corner it would be one thing, but they're going to be over an hour away. I am treating this like I would a scouting trip. If they show up without the info she doesn't stay.

And, I want an alternate number of some one I can call at ten PM if she needs to go. We'll see.

I just need to keep reminding myself - she's only 9, she's only 9

(I did mention that she is taller than me and wear a bigger bra size??)

that is a very good plan.
recently i had to talk to a parent about their son..he rides the bus home usually, but lately he has taken to just walking over to our house and staying 3 hours until his mom gets off work!! how rude! and this kid cries and whines over everything, gets into stuff..his mom isnt much better though..she got upset about picking her kid up and told my son that "she doesnt have a man to bring her money every day" and that she couldnt afford to come get him blah blah blah..

Hey I recently had an acquaintance email me and ask if I could keep her boys(under age 5) over night while mom and dad went out LARPING. I am not good friends with these people. The kids do NOT know me. I dont know them. The kids have been here once and they were monsters with the parents here. I told her no.

I had my daycare license. I have dealt with kids from good to BAD.It's the parents, not the kids. But that doesnt mean you have to like the kid​
