Other Than Chickens, What Do You collect?

I’m really outdoorsy and love to hunt therefore I decorate my house kinda rustic and bring in a lot of natural earthy things. I collect all kinds of stuff for that and I collect empty bullet shells, arrow heads, pine cones, deer antlers, tree limbs, pieces of wood, dried vines, dried flowers, pompas grass blooms, rocks, and much more. I have a hornets nest in a curio cabinet, along with a 2 hog skulls, a deer skull, arrow heads, wild turkey feathers, and much more.
My Mom has a massive paper wasp nest hanging high in the peak of her sunroom. I thought my poor stepdad was going to have heart failure when she finally brought it in. It's been there for years now ... and it's VERY cool!

Yes love that I have one in my curio cabinet as well and I just got one that is as big as a steering wheel. Came out of a wooden box hunting stand, not sure what I’m gonna do with it yet

I'll bet you have some really interesting lamps and lanterns. DS has a couple of old RR lanterns - and those are pretty cool, too.
My aunt was the original collector of lamps and lanterns. None of her children were interested.
I picked up the torch (🙃) and started collecting. She moved in to a senior citizen apartment complex and had to downsize. I bought her oil lamps. They are beautiful!
I will post a pic of a few of them.

I think they can be used to deter other wasps from building nests near them. I used to buy fake ones to hang on my porch for this reason. It did seem to work but I bet a real one would work better.

I have something similar - a glass fronted attorneys bookcase that includes things like shells, nests, and bones. I have a possum skull I found when I was a kid and a wallaby skull I found in Tasmania. On my porch, there is a horseshoe crab shell, and I have a dish of sea glass in one bathroom and heart-shaped rocks, coral and lava in the other. I even made a wall hanging from copper wire I found on our property and undyed wool from different places I visited. I read once that Hygge is characterized by a house that looks like it was decorated by a Viking squirrel. That tracks for me.

I used to collect horse models, but if I were to let myself go, I'd be collecting old model ships with sails and all.
But now I'm just collecting baby clothes. 😂

I am not a hoarder - just a bit of a collector - alright a lot of a collector.
I collect lizards - not real ones, but ornaments and wall hangings and paintings - with a sideline in frogs.
Then there is my Bohemian Grape Crystal - my mother had a set of 6 glasses that I fell in love with - so I started collecting about 40yrs ago - I have well over 1000 pieces now. At least this collection is relatively valuable, as it was only manufactured for about 10yrs in the late fifties/early sixties.
Then I have a penchant for Op shop clothes over store bought because as the daughter and I say - older stuff is better made and you can have 3 things for the price of one.
It's a good thing Hubby and I still live in the same 4 bedroom house we bought back in 1991
