I have been raising chickens for about 4 years. I just been introduced to feeding my chickens with fermented grains. The chickens are laying like crazy! One thing I did also noticed is when they poop it is more like a small turd. Before feeding fermented feed it was like more of a running spot on the ground. They get crumbles and the fermented feed as a treat. Close to half and half. They are eating less crumbles saving a lot of money. I live in Wisconsin and they free range. Right now I plow snow away so they can get to some green grass. But this summer I plan on just giving them fermented feed and free range.

I've been feeding fermented feed from day one. I've recently had to go half fermented grains, half dry Flock Raiser. I haven't noticed any difference in their poop.
