OUCH! I think I have a broody! Still Sitting Day 2

My Bantam EE hen, Mort, was in the nest box when I was checking for eggs. I put my hand in and started for the box...... "Screech" and then got the heck pecked out of my hand! Mort did not have any eggs under her so I stuck 3 Bantam eggs under her, will see how things go from here......

I have a broody silkie and when I went to check under her for eggs I nearly lost a finger!

Ouch is right! Though mine are just like that, and no broodies...

But that just means they have personality!!

Mort is holding tight on the nest. She has 3 Bantam Favorelle eggs under her. All the eggs Mort has ever laid do not have a yolk in them. She is on Day 2 I put eggs under her last night so we are just waiting to see if this lasts.
