Hi Allan, Thank You. San Bernardino has a very mild climate. One could live not too terribly uncomfortably without air-conditioning or heating here... Matter o' fact, we mostly do. Our winter lows are around the forties... our summer highs around 105ish, with very few hot nights. We do have some hellacious winds at times, "The Santa Anas."
The coop has a slanted roof with open ventilation across the top on three sides. On the back side, there's around four inches open the entire length. I'm thinking about shutting the vents up with plexi-glass for the winter.
