Our Egg Hatching thread! Hatch: Nov. 7th (Hatching Video PG 57)

Holy Cow!!! Eggs rocking already??? How exciting, guys!!!!

I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed from now until everyone's hatches are done!!! We should all post pics on here when our hatches are complete, then we can ooh and aah over each others fuzzies!

Well, since I set mine late on the 17th I am still turning. Tomorrow morning will be the last turn and then I'll up the humidity. I tried to candle tonight and pretty much all I can see is dark and an air cell! I saw a tiny bit of movement in two of the eggs so I just left the rest be. I keep peering into the holes of the incubator, hoping to see rocking, but no such luck.

I hate waiting - did I mention that? I'm terrible at it and this is KILLING me!!!

I hope you all have good luck though. Hopefully one of you will pip soon and I can fill my days with your eggciting news!!!

I quick turned my two serama eggs and had to add some humidity, so I candled the one egg that looked like it was working its way into the air cell yesterday. It is through the air cell and I could hear faint peeping. Now I won't touch it anymore. I just wanted to check super quick since I had to open the bator anyways and no membranes were exposed yet. Trying to figure out when I am losing the little guys...

Okay, Still no movement but my humidity wont go any higher than 45%...I have all the thingys filled and a little water dish in there. What else could I put in there to help it?

I put damp sponges in mine. I have even heard of people using feminine pads out of desperation. The sponges do the trick though for me.

Eep! I'll make sure to put the big egg far on the other side, and try to make some sort of a shield/partician. Or maybe I'll just put it in a separate incubator at that point, just to be on the safe side.


I'll have to check on my eggs in a little bit. Still trying to calm down after my accident this morning.

cass how can i get the humidity up. only up to 49

Try a very wet hot sponge to get the humidity up fast.
