Our girls made the front page of the paper today...

Our local paper did an article about changing an ordnance in a neighboring township to allow backyard chickens.
Interviewed hubby and took pics of our 5 year old daughter helping gather eggs (and the girls were good and all 3 laid the day the photographer came).

lol i love how every 1 says chickens stink has aney1 ever had owned a male cat that sprays everything that is a million times worse then chickens and rats being attracted to chicken food....rats arent exactly picky eaters(list of things to outlaw to get rid of rats: bread dog food catfood leftovers garbage insulation why dont we just outlaw houses for people?) some of the people against raising chickens need to learn any animal can stink or attract rats without special care specially humans but chickens will eat rats and mice smaller 1s anyway ive seen my chickens running around playing keepaway with a dead mouse
