Our Mixed Flock Journey!

Thanks! Do yall have any idea of what kind it is... it’s a girl btw...
I'm not very sure of the breed, but if the eggs come out as below, I can direct you to the link with breed info. :idunno

I just discovered this thread somehow, and I read the whole thing! Took me awhile! It’s a really great thread!
I loved seeing your tiny chicks grow up, and your renovation of the coop. Great pictures of everything. Bunnies and piggies too.
I just started my flock beginning in May when I got my first four chicks ever! Never had chickens before.
I lost two the next day. I was a little discouraged, but the two that lived were very healthy, so the next week I went back and got two more (TSC). I also joined BYC, and poured over all the information I could cram into my brain.
Four weeks ago I got nine more. Four from TSC and five from a hatchery.
So now I have 13 growing chickens!
We started the coop AFTER I got the first four chicks, so we had to hurry. We always function best under pressure, but I wouldn’t do that again!
At this point I am anticipating an EGG hopefully in a few more weeks, from my first four. I’m getting eggcited! I know, that is a terrible pun and so overused.
:yesss: :celebrate

Welcome to my thread, I'm so glad that you found it!!! Thank you, I like pictures and videos and I wanted to share with others and have a good journal for myself of my journey! Ours was a big push too, but I'm glad that we already had the coop and we're still making improvements! We need to add more ventilation to the coop, but that's going to have to wait...Dale is done with any major projects for right now! Raising chickens is a lot of fun, but there is heartache too...just like any animals. I'm glad that you hung in there and bought more! Thirteen is a nice sized flock. I have more than I need, but I wanted to have plenty of eggs to share and I believe that I accomplished that goal...lol! It's okay to be eggcited, 😁 I was too, even though these aren't my first chickens, they are however my first full sized chickens! Do you have a thread, if so I would love to see it? 💞

Thanks! I think she is some sort of dwarf breed... I hope so anyway!
Make sure she is handled a lot, to keep her friendly. I didn't have the time to spend with my breeding stock & they have become quite skittish. If I get more rabbits, I will try & do better. She's very sweet looking! 💞
