Our Mixed Flock Journey!

So glad your little man is feeling bettter!
Most folks don't realise how fragile the little guys can be, kind of have to look out for them.
I think your Faverolles will be just fine in your mix, I was just curious because they're a wee bit dramatic.
Two might sound nice but they are pains in the rump in groups sometimes "I know lol" :)
Welcome, I'm glad that you found me! :frow He is doing so well now, I've been giving him electrolytes! He's running around with the rest of the flock and even ate some food out of my hands, I will have to try the hard boiled eggs, someone else also suggested that! I also have some yogurt for him! I think I will bring him in later and give him a chance to eat without everyone else crowding around.
My Faverolle seems to be doing well, she and Little Roo were the ones that the other chicks were pecking at earlier in this journey. Thank goodness that issue is over! I'm hoping she will hold her own, I probably should have bought a second one, but I only have so much room in my coop!💞

Thank you! 💞
I'm looking forward to see how all of the personalities of my different breeds show themselves!

Well Little Roo spent the afternoon with his flock, but I think it wore him out! I brought him in and gave him his Corid and some electrolytes, I placed it into a Snapple lid and kept touching his beak into it, he drank it right down! I cooked an egg for him, but he fell asleep in my lap and isn't interested right now! I hope he's not taking another bad turn! He seemed to be a little fluffy looking when I brought him in, I was thinking about keeping him in the hospital cage for at least another night, but he just keeps trying to fly out! So I took him out and have been carrying him around and now he's stretched out in my lap and sleeping soundly! I might get one of the hens to put in with him, so that he has some company! We are still working on projects and I've kind of left my husband high and dry for the last little bit!

When chicks are being isolated sometimes it helps a lot to give them a stuffed animal to cuddle with. They they don't feel so alone.

Think I could use a stuffed animal myself
I put one of the hens in with him and that really helped!💞

I don't have a stuffed animal for you, but here's a hug.... :hugs

Little Roo is doing really well...so unless something unseen is going on inside of his little body, I think he is going to be okay!:love

Between taking care of my Little Roo, he spent some time with us today, I helped my husband build a rabbit tractor! We actually got it finished today. We used left over materials from other projects...the metal roofing (the screws came from my husbands sister), hinges and we had a roll of chicken wire that we've had for probably 20 years. We picked up the 2x4's from Lowes for 70% off...they were in good condition! The door is from a pallet of doors that we bought for $25! So, all in all, this probably cost us less than $25 to build, my husband said that the screws are expensive!

I can send you a big fat chicken to snug up with.
You'll not be lonely, but you'd have to lockdown your ice cream stash for sure.🍨🐓
