Happy 4th of July!!!

We built the rest of our pipe feeders yesterday and got them put in place, I think all of them together will hold a full bag of feed or close to it anyway! These sit up off of the ground a bit, so I might have to add some blocks for the chickens to use them easier, the roosters are so big they don't have any issues, but I think it will be harder for some of the smaller hens. We are leaving the first one we built inside of the pen at ground level for the Silkies, for the most part they are at the bottom of the pecking order, so with the new feeders farther away, this should ensure that they will be able to eat without being chased away...in theory anyway!

Thank you Debby! We had a very relaxing weekend! I hope that you did too! Today, I get to take care of our new grandson. Laura had to go back to work on the 1st & the guys are fishing. This will be my first day alone with him.

Having the feeders & watering system in, makes it much easier to get away. All my oldest son has to do is check to make sure everyone is healthy!

They automatic watering system and the feeders are a great idea. When we build the new coop or even the run, i would love to do the PVC feeders!

Congratulations on the hubby's retirement! Sounds like you both had a great trip. My brother used to live in WA and every time we went to go look at Mt. Rainier it was cloudy

Thank you REI! You will love having a watering & feeding system. I love having clean water for them & I can already see that they are not wasting any food.

Thank you again, we are so happy to be retired. He's had a job since he was 7 or 8 (his first job was a paper route), so he's pretty much worked his whole life. He's definitely ready & has earned it!

Yeah, we were definitely blessed with our trip. Both days were nice, but the second day the mountain had some clouds on it! It's so beautiful there! I'm sorry that you didn't have clear weather for your visit!
