This is my girl on her nest.
And the eggs she's managed to accumulate. She hasn't set them yet so wasn't ready to sit.
Last time she managed to secrete 10 before I busted her but that was really only because she'd gone to sit & I couldn't find her anywhere.
These days I'm a little more suspicious when I don't see an egg from one of my regular layers for a few days.

As I think about it, I think with me not knowing what's going on with her, I will go ahead and leave some eggs and if she decides to sit I will try to break the broodiness afterward, but I will know a little better what I can expect from her!
How does she get them into the nest, or do your other hens start laying there because she is?
I tell them it's like the French J' followed by an arn sound ~ so J'arn.
The brown egg's definitely not hers!
