I call her Ribh... as in ‘Rib’... but that is wrong too ... it’s much prettier the correct way... Reeve.. I think.. I’m sure I spelled that wrong! Correct me @Ribh

Well, that works. I'm a bit of a nutter about names.. When the 1st grandchild arrived the kids thought there was going to be a bit of a war on over who got to be called granny. Such an ugly name!!!! So it wasn't going to be me! I opted for Móraí [pron. Morr~ee] which is Irish but slightly problematic as I'm not Irish & that's not the term for direct address which would be A Mhóraí! Sounds completely different in pronunciation too but Móraí is very close in sound to my middle name so I went with that. The kids complained about it but the grandies have all found it really easy to pronounce

I am called Grandmother ... I know! I wanted to be called Marme (from Little Woman) but one of my sisters talked me out of it.... I’d actually like to get them to start calling me Goosie... it’s what we called my Grandmother ... the most amazing woman in the world❤.... maybe my other children’s children will call me Goosie! My mother is called Mee-maw by some and Grandma Pat by others... so I guess it could work...

When it comes to names I figure the owner has to live with it & has to be comfortable with it. I love inventive, imaginative names for things like Grandmother. Goosie is fantastic! I hope you get it one day.

I do ~ & it is pronounced Maeve too! So many of the Irish names are really pretty & much easier to say than their spelling would suggest.

Thank you Debby! She came out and ate, but she still spent most of her day inside the coop! Her crop wasn't very full this evening! We've had family here all day, my son & his family, my FIL & SIL, they came to see the baby for the first time! Tomorrow, I'm going to try and spend more time making sure that she's eating enough! She's a mystery to me right now!

Yep. We have a similar problem. Need something? It's never a 5 minute run to the shops. Any trip to the mainland is likely to turn into an all day affair. Ugh. There are things I'd rather be doing.

If she's eating well, pooping well, & emptying her crop there's probably not much wrong with her. She may just be avoiding your roosters. I have one nut job who's always in the coop. She likes scratching through the mulch for bugs. No accounting for taste.

As an Aussie I have a lot of trouble getting past the * rabbits are vermin* mentality. In my state you're not even allowed to keep them; not as a desexed pet, not as part of a petting farm, not for food, just no!

I can make it a half day once in a while, if the list of things to do are short enough, but that's very rare! Makes for long days!!!

She might be avoiding the roosters...we definitely need to thin some out...I honestly feel sorry for the hens...them boys are crazy about those girls...

I've shot my share of rabbits for decimating our tree's when we first planted them, now we don't see very many wild ones anymore! I had no idea that you all didn't eat rabbit! People say it's just like chicken, I say it's similar, but a little tougher! Now I have to try and not think of them as vermin, as our plan is to eat them if the economy tanks, rabbit I can eat, vermin no...thanks a lot Jehane JK

My grandchildren will call me grandma! We called my dads mom Granny and she was not a very nice person, so I told people they were not allowed to call me that! My FIL was here today and threatening to call me granny, I told him he'd better watch out because I could become his caregiver in his old age and I might just give him an enema whether he needs it or not...if you could have seen the look on his face
