Our Mixed Flock Journey!

I had no idea that you all didn't eat rabbit! People say it's just like chicken, I say it's similar, but a little tougher! Now I have to try and not think of them as vermin, as our plan is to eat them if the economy tanks, rabbit I can eat, vermin no...thanks a lot Jehane:lau JK
I didn't say we didn't eat rabbit ~ just we're not allowed to breed them in Queensland. NSW you can. My brother had a white one as a pet when I was a child. During the depression many families survived by shooting or trapping wild rabbits but they are so out of control [no natural predators] they have threatened our wild life & W.A built a *Rabbit Proof Fence* from Starvation Bay to Ninety Mile Beach ~ a whole 1827 KM of it! As I'm vegetarian the to eat or not to eat is immaterial. :lau

I'm enjoying every minute of this, keep it coming! I'm about ready to give up trying to catch up on your thread and just jump in at the end...it's like trying to catch a runaway freight train,,,:lau
:gig:lau:lau:lau:gig
I'm afraid that's about the best way of dealing with it. It's a bit out of control. Not all my fault...;)

I was just joking with you anyway...I will have no problem eating them...I'm definitely not a vegetarian...😉 That is a crazy length of fence, but no predators would definitely make it hard to keep the numbers down, after all they breed like rabbits...:lau

Oh, I love that!!
I am called Grandmother 😁... I know! I wanted to be called Marme (from Little Woman) but one of my sisters talked me out of it:rolleyes:.... I’d actually like to get them to start calling me Goosie... it’s what we called my Grandmother ... the most amazing woman in the world❤.... maybe my other children’s children will call me Goosie! My mother is called Mee-maw by some and Grandma Pat by others... so I guess it could work...
I love Marme & Goosie is adorable...you should choose whichever one you like best! 💞

When my boys were little and my mom would come to visit, she'd spoil them rotten. They took to calling her Grandma Visa :gig (I'm not sure my dad thought it was as funny as the rest of us, he's the one that would get stuck with the bills.)

My in-laws saw my kids a lot more since they lived in the same town as us. The kids called them the Real Grandma & grandpa.

When my DW's mom was still living, my grandchildren called her "SUPER GRANDMA" 😍 instead of Great Grandmother:idunno

My grandmother name is “Gaba”
I adopted it from my own Gaba who got her name from my baby brother who couldn’t say Grammy for some reason. It always came out “Gaba”. Soon we all just called her that. She really liked it.
So now I am Gaba in her memory.
