I'm getting 1 egg every out of 5 days from Aurora. I warned Mrs BY Bob that we are going to have to purchase some soon. This is how my egg holder used to look... filled with eggs and with even giving some away! View attachment 2409056

Good morning Debby! Glad to have you back. The critters should enjoy those!
This should be interesting, hope you like how they turn out.
That is a nice egg holder! You'll have it full again come next year.
I haven't had a single egg in probably 3 weeks but my girls are getting up there (they turned 4 this year).
Agreed...it was a pretty good haul! That looks like a successful crop to me! Great job.
It will be hard to go back to store bought eggs!I'm getting 1 egg every out of 5 days from Aurora. I warned Mrs BY Bob that we are going to have to purchase some soon.![]()
I love a good experiment!Hey everyone...I hope you've had or are having a great day...depending where you are in the world!
I finally started my Water Glassing: Egg Preservation Experiment! I started a thread about it, but I will also share each taste test here! Hubby asked me to warn him before I feed any of these eggs to him...biggest chicken in the flock...

Yup. I hate having to do that but I refuse to add extra lighting. They need a break. It will be hard to go back to store bought eggs!
Good morning Debby! Glad to have you back.
The rabbits love sunflower seeds...the chickens enjoy them too, just not as much as the rabbits.
I hope the eggs turn out good too. I think it's fun to know different methods for food preservation.
Will you be getting any new chicks?
Yup. I hate having to do that but I refuse to add extra lighting. They need a break.
Wer will buy cage free from local farm. They cost a dollar more but I know the conditions. It's not perfect but I can live with that.No plans on getting new chicks for a while. I can only have 6 and have 5 now.
I agree, I like mine to have a winter break too. Store bought will do for us until they begin to lay again.
