That's a much cleaner looking bath than my group takes!
I’ll have to think about this as it will separate some from the nest boxesIf he has other girls with him I would bet he's ok. No way to be certain until you try it.
You did not! I love ya brudda Bob!I was just apologizing for not being present, not for anything else. All me. I feel like I let some people down the last few days, you and WhoDat specifically. I can't believe that I disappeared as all this went down.![]()
Wow - windy day too!Another first! Marquis decided he needed a dust bath too, I've never seen my roosters do this! He's not quite as good at it as the girls are, but he seemed to be enjoying himself. I have to add that he was back to normal with me when I went back out, he actually followed me over to the dust bathing area and then casually started his bath!At the beginning of the video you can hear Ophelia, she has a deeper sound she makes, then she throws in a Pip sound, which is my nickname for her, because she makes the Pip sound a lot!
It's almost Spring...wind is a normal part of the weather around here. It really wasn't too bad!Wow - windy day too!
Congrats! I’m so glad I found your thread! And met my new friend from across America! I remember being so impressed with the crib brooder!.... I act like it’s been ten yearsGood morning everyone! I was just notified that I've been a member of BYC for a year today! I will have had my flock for a year on the 18th! It's funny, it doesn't seem like a year and then again it seems like 10 years. This has been quite a journey & I'm glad that I've been able to share it with all of you! Thank you for all of the support, encouragement & friendship you've extended to me!![]()
Morning Rene (or afternoon I guess)! We have a bit more snow on the way but nothing like what we got Fri/Sat, we got 2 feet! Here are a couple of pictures:
DH dug a path for me to get to the coop

This is the alley behind our house, you can see some drifts almost as tall as the neighbor's 6' fence (that's a 4' tall chain link fence 1/2 buried)

I haven't seen this much snow fall at one time in years. I think mud season is right around the corner.
Those roos are huge!!!So Spazzy girl laid her egg and then she decided that she deserved a nice dust bath...she did get a pretty good one in, then some of her sisters decided to make sure she knew that she was on the bottom of the pecking order! Flock dynamics are so fun to watch, she gets pecked by one and then that hen gets pecked by another and round and round it goes...lol!
I'm so glad that I met you too my friend! Here's to another 10 years...Congrats! I’m so glad I found your thread! And met my new friend from across America! I remember being so impressed with the crib brooder!.... I act like it’s been ten years![]()
