Our Mixed Flock Journey!

For any of you that ever wondered if E.T. ever made it home...he didn't, somehow he got stuck in my SIL walnut tree! 🤣

That is FANTASTIC. Here is an Idea to consider. Last summer, I cut a tree portion, and decided to cut 4 inch thick rounds, and put 3 legs on them. I slapped on some varnish to waterproof them, and use them as flower pot stands, on patio.
If I lived closer to that stump.... I would be begging for a slice. :love

Those turned out nicely Cavey :thumbsup

They must be very used to humans, especially in the higher population areas!
No human has harmed one in decades here. It's illegal as they are protected. They simply have no reason to fear us.

The hawk I've seen is pretty good sized, but yeah, I don't think it could carry a BO very far! I think the chicken must have wandered into our yard and the hawk caught it right there. The feathers seemed to be pretty confined.
The ones I've seen killed by a hawk have involved no movement by the hawk. They eat them where they kill them. 😥

These are so cool Cavey! I love the color of the wood and the fact that you left the bark on! If we lived closer I would give you a slice or 2! 💗
