I am sorry for your sad news about your friendโs dad. I hope her mom recovers soon. Your friend must be worried sick and devastated.Hi everyone! I've had a pretty sad day! One of my best friends lost her dad to Covid today and her mom is still in the hospital & very sick, but I'm pretty sure she will pull through.
Just wanted to say hi to all of you...my friends here, I highly value each of you & I hope that you are all doing well!![]()
Beautiful photos!!! I love the pea fowl.Good morning all! I'm on my way to town this morning. I'm getting the Navigation screen replaced in my car & then getting another repair estimate for the tree damage. Hope you all have a great day!
On a fun note, my husband and oldest son bought me a new camera for my Birthday! It arrived yesterday afternoon. I can now get pictures of our Peacock. He's so beautiful. I will take some flock pictures with it tomorrow! We are driving over to the west side on Saturday to go to the zoo, so I can take pictures with it.
It has a steep learning curve, but I'm so ready to stretch my brain & learn!

When I was in my twenties I was a serious photographer. I had a lot of expensive equipment, various lenses, filters, you name it. I took classes and studied all I could. I used 35 mm equipment and film. I even did some weddings and family photography. I loved it.Thanks!I know, I'm so excited! This is definitely not a beginner camera, thank goodness for YouTube! I'm going to be practicing as much as I can...I want to be able to take good pictures and videos of our grandson in October!

When I was in high school we had a photography and film development class...sadly I did not have funds to purchase a camera, so I was not able to take the class. I've dabbled for years and would have loved to take a class! I'm studying online and soaking up everything I can! This camera is quite complicated, but I love it already. I actually paid for an online class that completely focuses on this particular camera...it's been very helpful. I need to really learn about composition...so I'm working on that too! When I was in my twenties I was a serious photographer. I had a lot of expensive equipment, various lenses, filters, you name it. I took classes and studied all I could. I used 35 mm equipment and film. I even did some weddings and family photography. I loved it.
The result of this is that I have boxes and boxes of pictures, and portraits, more than I can really save. I canโt bear to throw pictures away, but who will want them when I am gone? I have already given my children albums of their childhood and family portraits. They donโt want my albums of pics from Niagara Falls, Hawk Mountain, Appalachian Trail, etc, etc, Lol.
I gave pictures to my parents, in-laws, grandparents, you name it. When they passed away, I got them back, obviously.
You see my dilemma?
And today, I donโt even own a current camera, you know, digital. Just my cell phone camera!
