Our new coop for under $50.

Great coop! I am planning on tearing mine apart and practically starting over. Yours is kind of how I wanted to go. Can you tell me where the door for you chickens to get to the run is and the how big you made the opening? I would also love to see an up close picture of the nesting boxes from the outside. How did you make them leak proof? On second thought, can you just send your husband here to build me one?

I have been looking for plans like this and haven't had any luck so far. I don't know how to build in the nest boxes. Maybe you can give me pointers.

Now you can name the cheap coop the "Cheep Coop"
The more I look at this site the more I want to build a new coop and run for my girls.....Bought a coop (just needed assembly) and built a small pen, only 4x8 but the 5 girls run loose in the (fenced in) yard a lot. The pen was made from old wood from a farm, wood that I got cheap at Habitat ReStore and mistint paint. Had to buy material for the roof, a couple of sheets of plywood and chickenwire though.....ended up costing way more than $50 and doesn't look as good as yours!!
