its what we feed our exotic... looks just like the one on the bag actually, the feed she flings all over the place would feed your chickens!

It's fine. Even citrus, though some say otherwise, is just fine for your birds. They just may not like it, is all.

they seem fine with it. although they don't eat as much of it as they do the reg feed.

Actually, that stuff is probably better for chickens than it is for parrots. Seed-based diets are terrible for parrots, the first one I owned died of liver failure at 14 because she'd been fed nothing but seed her whole life.

It's always a pain when you can't get to the feed supplier for whatever reason and then you run out...we just had to buy a bale of alfalfa hay from the feedstore at twice the price we normally pay because our hay deliverer had a family emergency and couldn't get to us until a week late. Once our goats had to get grained with chicken scratch for a while because the feed store ran out of sweet feed!

I can't imagine that would be bad for them.

If I run out of feed for a day it's called "clean out the fridge" day.

made it to the feed store before they closed with their crazy early hours. had to get crumbles instead of pellets.

I think I would have been inclined to make them a bowl of oatmeal and throw in a few leftovers from the fridge to get them through the few hours until I could make it back to the feed store. Eeewwww. That happens here sometimes too. The unidentifiable leftover something or other with fur
