Out of the brooder - into the coop

Yea. They peep so loud. They quite down eventually but I feel so bad. It’s only night 2 of making them sleep in the coop

How old are they? And how many chickies do you have? Is it possible they are cold?

They are nearly 6 weeks and I’m in NC. It’s like 80 degrees haha so probably not. I assume they just feel lost

That’s probably it then. How many are there?
If you have like 4 chickies and a “large” coop i can imagine how they feel. Maybe put a little box in there with would shaving so they can snuggle together?

It’s pretty small. Just hit enough for the 3 of them.

Oh ok so yeah they’re scared and maybe lonely. They are also a bit young to be outside…. What’s the temp at night?

They are 6 weeks old. And about 75 degrees. Everything I’ve read including who I got them from said they’d be coop ready around this age.

This is what I’m doing but they cry so much that it’s hard to walk away. Will they eventually be okay with it???

They're crying because they're scared and somewhere new. Close the door and walk away, they'll be fine. They'll get over it in a few days.
