i have 5-6 week old Old english game chicks and im thinking about when can i take them out of the brooder? Also can I let them out when im cleaning the brooder?

Around now would be a good time to bring them outside if the temperatures are around 60 degrees, they should be fine. If the temperatures drop a lot at night, you can bring them back into the brooder. It would be fine to let them outside while you clean the brooder.

how cold is too cold to have 5 week old chicks out in the coop with 2 heat lamps?

If they have 2 heat lamps they will be fine. Especially at 5 weeks old. They probably don't even need the second lamp at that age. Next week you can unplug it for good. ;)

mine went out to the coop @ 3wks old. i used two heat lamps. the lows got down into the upper 30s. they're 6 wks old now & the lows are in the 50s. no heat light anymore. i do use a regular bulb in the other part of the barn because they seem seriously afraid of the dark. they pile up so much i worry they'll suffocate each other. it's not from cold (tonite it is still 70),yet they pile up when it gets dark.

5-6 weeks is definitely old enough to start letting your chicks outside during the day, if not in the coop at night. At six weeks, ours were sleeping outdoors with no heat lamp (outside temperature about 20*C at night)

They usually have grown enough feathers to provide a good defence against the cold by that point!
