Outdoor low temps for broody?

How cold is okay for a broody and her eggs? We are still transitioning from winter to spring...lows of 33 F. a few nights, days in the 50s and 60s. I'm running out of coop space for incubator chicks and would like to move Mama and her nest to a private crate outside with the other hens.

I'd say you should be safe with those temperatures, but there is still the chance of the eggs getting cold. It's not too likely though, so I would say go for it!

Good luck!
