My dad's family is Scottish and came over from Scotland to America same time frame as in Outlander so I enjoyed watching outlander and have watched every episode (my family migrated shortly after the battle of Culloden).

I'm on the last book (audible), and while it's been a great series, I'm a little burned out on it at this point. To be fair though, I've gone through them from the first to last over the past few months and that's a bit much for anyone, I think.
Really fantastic series on the whole though, and I have so much respect for the level of research that shines through in the books. I got into the audio books after watching a few seasons, so the characters were pretty much already defined in my mind, but the casting in the series was so good it meshed really well.
I'll definitely be revisiting this book series in a year or two. (I listen while I work, so I love LOOOOOONG audio books and an entire series of them is even better)

Yeah that’s understandable! It seems like it’s a long series. I’m loving the show though. I’m gonna have to get into the books. Not sure whether I’ll listen or read hah maybe both I sometimes find it harder to follow along when I’m just listening but we’ll see. It really is a great series though.
