When he chases the chickens, are the chickens spread out more than usual? Are they in a certain spot that is too far from the coop so the dog tries to round the up better but the chickens run everywhere when the dog heads toward them?

Okay, you will need some expertise to use it correctly, I can make you a video on how to use it if you want! That is how we trained our dog, and once you get the hang of it, it is an amazing training source! I will have to post the video through convo though, because I can't do the youtube thing. No, I haven't. The thing is, 90% of the time, He doesn't ever care that they are there. his attacks happen extremely infrequently honestly, it's quite odd

In all do respect, but I disagree. I would never use a shock collar unless I had to, there are better way to train a dog, of course shocking them is easiest, but I would prefer to pick the harder path for my pup. Have you ever put the collar on yourself and shocked yourself, if I EVER had to use one, I would do that first. Anyway, we can have different opinions that is fine, just thought I would say my piece!I personally love training collars. (Shock collars) They have beep and vibrate buttons so shocking is really only needed on extremely stubborn dogs or in the heat of a chase to get their attention. The strength of the shock is also adjustable so you don’t have to “hurt” them. Just get their attention.
