Over one week into integration..

Would it be a good idea to put the three older ones in the coop enclosure and let the smaller ones learn the area, so they at least know where they can go?
Yes, yes it would.
How many days have they all been 'together'?
ETA...DUH, a week.

Right now I have a gate up with a small opening. All them except the boy can get through it. One smaller one came out and went back in. The barred rock went in, they all went on the roost. Just now the barred rock walked right up to the opening and walked the other way. She could very well have gone in and got them.

Do they have feed water in their 'safe place'?

They have all been out there for a month and a half. I haves moved them to different areas depending on size and weather. They get some time in the run at the end of the day. I don't want the older ones to get more pissy if they are locked up and the others are not.

The weird thing is they sleep together, right next to each other and the barred rock laid an egg with all of them in there. What is that all about? Why can't I get the day time to work like the night time?

But I meant how long since they had physical contact after the month of 'see no touch'.

I tried it once a while back and decided that wasn't good. So it's been about a week. It's not all the time, which could be an issue, but I'm not leaving them together alone without me being here

The youngers going up high is good sign,
the hen not following into safe space is good sign,
The worst may be over.
Giving youngers a turn in run without older interfering would be a good 'recess' for a couple hours.
You are Chicken Juggling!
