P.O.O.P.S People Of Oklahoma Poultry Swap....... Event

Well our POOPS gathering was a huge success again this year with over 165 people in attendance, and we managed to feed everybody with food to spare LOL.
Our event included a 500 item raffle, a magic show for the kids, a poultry Processing demonstration, a very nice 2 hr poultry auction, and a wonderful nice long dinner. Here is a link with 247 pic's from our event this Saturday.

I really need to buy some hens for my flock. I lost three to the heat and one to a dog yesterday. I need to add to my flock.

If anyone in central Oklahoma has some laying hens for sale, email me. I'm about 25 miles sw of OKC. I'd really like buff orpington, brahma, easter egger or cuckoo maran but any others would be fine. No banties, no roosters and would like them to be about a year or so. Pullets would be ok for a good price.

thanks

Your group sounds fun! Any plan for a Fall event?

What are Free-range eggs selling for in Central OK now? I am getting 12-13 eggs a day from my 13 RIR

I am not sure about the price of free range eggs but my son is selling cage free RIR for $2.50 a dozen. He lives in the middle of a woods with rotten predators like, foxes, coyotes, dogs, skunks, possums, and racoons. His RIR are in a big enclosure with netting over the top.

I had to break down and buy free range eggs because of the heat. I got them from the same place I buy my raw milk and paid $3 a dozen, if that helps. I've seen them as much as $4

I have an interest in some frizzle chickens and light brahma's. Am hoping to find them this weekend at P.O.O.P.S The frizzle's are for my daughter if you could contact me about what i should budget for in cost of these i would appreciate it.
