If paint is not peeling, it's not likely they will pick at it.I have been wondering about this too. I am in the process of finishing up our coop and was thinking a light color would be good for the winter light situation. The only concern I have is if the chickens start picking at it? It can't be healthy right? Maybe I am being too cautious?
Light paint inside coop will make it easier for everyone to see,
doubt it will extend winter laying as they need direct white light for that.
ETA, tho light paint inside may increase the efficacy of supplemental lighting.
